The B's are back

Nice to see the Bruins back in action this week. I just finished watching the Bruins verse Minnesota Wild. Unfortunately it ended with a loss 4-3. They did have a late comeback bid but they fell short. Just thought I'd I'd give some quick observations:

• I thought the idea was Savard feeding Ryder the puck instead of the other way around. I'm not complaining though.
  
• Before those people start on Manny Fernandez please remember Tim Thomas also gave up four goals against Colorado.
• Minnesota was giving up rebounds all night but fortunately for them no Bruins in sight of them. Need some presence in front of the opposing net.
• Speaking of which what's with two four goals against nights? What happened to defense?
• Nice to see Kessel off to a good start.

FBI closing in on suspected Palin email hacker

Did you really think the FBI or Secret Service were going to take Gov. Palin's email hacking lightly? Of course not. In this story they've seem to narrowed the search down to Dave Kernel, 20 a student of the University of Tennessee. Ironicly he's the son of state Representative(Tennessee) Mike Kernel(Democrat). Dave's email has been linked through anonymity service(not so anonymous anymore) that he apparently used to hide his identity. I find it amusing that the guy who ran the service was very cooperative when the FBI came knocking. Dave may have thought it was a harmless prank but I don't think the guys in the suits and pitch black sunglasses have much of sense of humor. To hack into an email account of candidate for Vice President is not something be taken lightly.

Sarah Palin the shocking photo!

I had this photo sent to me by email so I have no idea where it came from. Obviously it's a photoshoped but one could hope! I do believe she's taken a beating by the press. You know the same ones who overlook Obama's lack of experience. The difference is Obama is on top of the ticket and Sarah is the #2. On the other hand she's stolen a lot of thunder from Obama's campaign and it's starting to show in the polls. The sludge the the dems are throwing will not stop. I believe they are in panic mode. It's 2004 again when Kerry failed to successfully squash the Swift boat debacle. Democrats were caught by surprise by the Palin pick and still haven't fully recovered. Do they regret not picking Hillary. Hate to be in her shoes. She came so close to be shunned by Barack. Now another woman could possibly be VP besides her. IfI was a Hillary supporter(I am not!) I'd be furious. So far I believe she's held up under the pressure and has revived McCain's stagnant campaign.

Tougher in Alaska

McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is nothing less than a surprise. Is it risky? Yes he just took away his argument Obama's lack of experience. Though I believe someone from a Alaska is a little tougher than the norm. Plus look at Alaska geographically you've got Russia across the way and you border Canada. There's your foreign policy experience right there. Ok that's a stretch but what the heck.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin

I had a feeling McCain wasn't going to pick someone obvious like Romney(my personal first choice), Rawlenty, Ridge and Leiberman. I believe that any one of those choices ran risks anyway. McCain obviously went for broke. I think it's an excellent choice for VP. It may even garner some still disenfranchised Hillary supporters. Who knows? On top of that she isn't half bad looking either which doesn't hurt. A lot better than Hillary would have been as VP Ewwww!

Record DUI

Stanley Kobierowski, 34, of North Providence now holds a Rhode Island record. Although I'm not sure he's proud of this one though. He allegedly blew a .491 on breathalyzer which is six times the legal limit(.08) according to Rhode State Police. The highest recorded of someone still living according to authorities. He was arrested after hitting a sign on Interstate 95 near Providence Place mall. He must have had one heck of a hangover on Tuesday after spending the night in Rhode Island Hospital in the detoxification unit. He was arraigned in Lincoln at the State Police barracks on Tuesday. We were lucky he hit a sign rather than a family in a minivan or something more tragic. Congratulations Stanley!

The shooting is being considered suspicious.

I was reading a report on a local shooting here in Providence and a curious line got my attention. "The shooting is being considered suspicious." Boy and I was worried that our local law enforcement wasn't on the ball? What shooting wouldn't be suspicious?

Half - votes?

The Democratic Party puzzles me. Why should Obama get any votes in Michigan if his name wasn't even on the ballot. I don't know all the ins and outs of the process but it just doesn't make any sense. This I believe will come back and bite them come November. I'm no Hillary fan but I'll take her side on this issue. Vote's should be counted 100% percent. I'm not sure if I'd be to happy to know that my vote was only worth 50%. If I was a Democrat voter(only an if) in Florida or Michigan I'd be outraged. It's looking better for a "President McCain" in January.

Katherine Brunnell found guilty

Katherine Brunnell was found guilty of 2nd degree murder of 3 year old T.J. Wright today. Personally I believe she should have gotten 1st degree but it wasn't for me to decide. A really sad case overall. T.J.'s still dead unfortunately at least she didn't get off scott free. 10 years seems like a light sentence for killing a 3 year old over spilled milk and yogurt.

Face of a loser

Take a good look at the picture of a total loser as accused Gilbert Delestre took the fifth amendment in testimony yesterday in the trial of 3 year old T.J. Wright. How these two got custody of T.J. and his siblings is beyond me. In care of a young girl with her own kids and with a loser ex-convict for a boyfriend. Going out drinking and partying to boot. Not exactly the "Cosby's" here. DCYF should be ashamed of this and should be equally responsible.Today the trial will be going into closing arguments and to jury. This story just fills me with anger and sadness. If justice is not served here it will be a travesty.

T.J. Wright trial

I've been following the trial of the death of three year old T.J. Wright. Well sort of at least . I get sick just reading about I've tried to avoid it but I do find myself drawn at the same time. Katherine Bunnel the accused broke down in tears the other day in court. I couldn't help but think it's a little late for that. Maybe she should have thought of that before beating a 3-year old to death over some spilled food after night out partying(says a lot right there) with her low-life scum boyfriend. The details of T.J. injuries are just gut wrenching to read. I hope to God that justice be served here and T'J. Wrights brutal death not go in vain. One has to wonder how DCYF dropped the ball and placed him with these two F(*&76ng loser's is beyond me. It's really sad and blood boiling to think about this.

Hockey, golf and a polygamist cult

This is a quote from this article I just read that just made me laugh:

• An expert on TV said the women in that polygamist cult cover themselves in frontier dresses so that they’re unattractive to other men. I give them credit for succeeding.

• And why would you want to marry even one of them, let alone three or four?

Being a hockey fan I enjoyed this one:

Have another donut!

How I didn't have this marked on my calender I don't know. It was the anniversary of Jim Schoenfeld's (Then coach of the New Jersey Devil's) famous " Have another donut " remark after the Bruins trounced his Devils 6-1. Now that was entertainment! Remember when the Bruins actually would win playoff series? It seems like so long ago. Anyway here a link for more details and enjoy the video.

Thomas Wright

I remember when this story broke originally three years ago. When Thomas Wright died while being cared(if you call it that) for by his aunt(Katherine Bunnell) and loser boyfriend Gilbert Delestre. Prosecutor's charge that they beat the three year old boy, which cracked his skull and femur which killed him in Woonsocket early Halloween morning in 2004 . Over what from I remember reading was some spilled food. This story made me disgusted because my son is the same age as Thomas would be. I hope these two loser's rot in jail to say the least. Flyers Knock out The Habs

The Philadelphia Flyers knocked out the Montreal Canadiens last night 4-2. Needless to say I jumped for joy at the news. Carey Price was not invincible nor the next Ken Dryden. My hometown Bruins think showed that Price and the rest of the Canadiens that they weren't unbeatable by taking them to 7 games. Perhaps the Flyers were taking some notes.

On a side note: Jim Fox of Yahoo Sports predicted that both the Bruins and Flyers would fall to the Canadiens in 5 games. Neither of which was even close. Keep drinking that kool-aid they serve at the Belle Center.

Re: Hillary vs. Bill (O'Reilly)

Apparently it is true. Hillary Clinton will be on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight. It should be interesting. He's been wanting this one for years. It should be interesting.

Obama shocked!

I think many of us can agree that the Reverend Wright's comments and views are "Outrageous" and Appalling". Now Barack Obama it seems has come to a similar conclusion yesterday. It's as if he suddenly became aware of his outrageous antics and conspiracy theories. The guy is a loon. Anyway Barack's response reminded me of this scene from "Casablanca".
